Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd, on behalf of a leading medical devices manufacturer in the East Singapore area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to bolster the finance team. The role covers end-to-end accounting for multiple entities, monthly and annual closes, and group-level consolidation, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting, has at least five years of relevant experience, strong IFRS/SFRS knowledge, and hands-on experience with intercompany

Job description

Our client is one of the leading players in the medical devices manufacturing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end accounting activities for several entities within the group.
• Manage the monthly and annual financial closing process, including necessary adjustments and reporting.
• Prepare financial and management reports, as well as group-level consolidation.
• Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations and consolidation adjustments between entities.
• Review general ledger accounts, balance sheet schedules and supporting reconciliations for accuracy.
• Manage accounting matters relating to inventory, product costing and stock provisions.
• Coordinate audit exercises, tax matters, GST submissions and statutory requirements across the relevant entities.
• Assist with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow monitoring.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial information and reports for management review.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls and finance systems, including automation initiatives.
• Work closely with the Financial Controller, auditors, tax agents, banks and other stakeholders on group reporting and other finance-related projects.
• Perform any ad-hoc accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience in group consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Good knowledge of SFRS / IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems will be an advantage.
