A global energy company with integrated operations across refining, trading, and distribution is expanding its presence in Singapore. As part of this growth, the firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance & Administration Department. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team supporting the company’s regional operations.

Role

Reporting to the Team Manager for Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all functions. This includes managing general ledger integrity, overseeing month-end closing, strengthening accrual accounting practices, and supporting financial statement preparation. The role also plays an integral part in driving process automation and accounting system improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant accounting experience. A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA Singapore is preferred. Strong technical knowledge in accrual accounting, GST, and corporate tax compliance is essential, along with proven experience in month-end closing and statutory reporting. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, as well as involvement in system upgrades or automation projects, will be highly valued.

The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying process improvements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key to working effectively across teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
