The role supports the Accounting and Finance Manager in overseeing accounting and finance operations, tax compliance, internal controls, budgeting, fixed asset management, and reporting. This role ensures accuracy, timely financial closings, and compliance with statutory and corporate requirements while providing guidance to cross‑functional teams and SAP users.
Job Description
Compliance, Audit & Internal Controls
- Lead and coordinate J‑SOX compliance, including documentation, testing, internal control evaluation, and remediation actions.
- Lead internal audit processes, ensuring all schedules, data, and responses are prepared accurately and timely.
- Support the Accounting and Finance Manager to monitor and strengthen internal control frameworks across finance functions.
Taxation & Statutory Filings
- Manage corporate tax computations, annual filings, and related documentation.
- Manage GST filing processes, including reconciliation and submission.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of withholding tax transactions and remittances.
- Handle property tax assessments, payments, and ledger reconciliations.
- Manage deferred tax accounting, including calculations and monthly/annual postings.
- Manage deferred income accounting and ensure proper revenue recognition.
Asset & Lease Management
- Manage lease and sublease asset accounting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee fixed assets capitalization and disposal processes, including asset register updates.
- Manage Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) calculations and related entries.
- Monitor spare parts movement and ensure correct accounting treatment.
Budgeting, Reporting & Analysis
- Support the preparation of budget, including forecasting, analysis, and management reporting.
- Perform monthly income recognition and deferred tax postings.
- Prepare accurate quarterly reporting to corporate stakeholders.
- Contribute to monthly closing activities and financial analysis.
SAP Controlling & User Support
- Provide support to SAP controlling module users, including troubleshooting and guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification is a plus).
- Minimum 8‑10 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
