Job summary

A multinational corporation in precision engineering is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract in Singapore. The role involves handling full sets of accounts, monthly and year-end closings, preparing journal entries, maintaining inventory balances, and liaising with auditors. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with accounting software like XERO, QuickBooks, or SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 – 7 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience as external auditor is good to have.
• Experience with inventory costing is good to have.

Overview

An MNC in precision engineering industry with global footprint in over 20 countries is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team under 6 months contract basis.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the manager, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for full sets of accounts and monthly/quarterly/year-end closing for 3 overseas entities, preparing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling inventory balances, inventory valuations, COGS, supporting cost updates and inventory roll forwards, preparing financial statements, bank and intercompany reconciliation, and liaising with auditors and tax agents.

Successful candidates can expect to work in a stable, established organization with a cohesive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting


• ACCA, CPA is good to have


• Minimum 5 – 7 years of relevant experience


• Previous experience as external auditor is good to have


• Experienced with XERO, QuickBooks, or SAP


• Experience with inventory costing is good to have
