A mobility technology firm in Singapore is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with standards. The role of Senior Accountant at this mobility technology firm, you will be a core member of the Finance & Accounting team. You will own key accounting functions, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and support the financial close process. Beyond just bookkeeping, you will help ensure compliance, maintain internal controls, and work closely with cross‑functional teams (operations, strategy, business units) to provide insights into the business’s financial health.
Lead and execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities for assigned entities with accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, and balance sheet schedules.
Take ownership of the general ledger, ensuring adherence to group policies and local statutory requirements.
Work closely with business and operational teams to understand financial drivers and deliver variance and trend insights.
Drive continuous improvements in closing and reporting processes through automation and system enhancements.
Perform revenue and expense analysis, delivering meaningful variance explanations.
Ensure compliance with IFRS or local accounting standards, supported by robust documentation and internal controls.
Prepare and review both management and statutory financial reports.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during annual audits to ensure timely completion of all submissions.
Support corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and other statutory filings, working with external service providers as needed.
Serve as a finance partner to business teams, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Assess, develop, and implement process improvements using tools such as NetSuite, Excel, and automation platforms.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Operations, Marketing, HR, and Strategy to support new initiatives and entity setup.
