General Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Accountant are to handle HK Recruitment business accounting function, including month end closing, statutory audit, management reporting, annual budget and decision support.

The Senior Accountant reports to HPP Recruitment Assistant Finance Manager. He/she will work in partnership with General Accounting Shared Service Center, HPP Commercial team, APAC regional finance team, in-country finance team, tax team and wider finance and corporate teams, to support business growth. The Senior Accountant will be part of the team to promote and implement process improvement, system integration and enhancement across all APAC OpCo’s.

Key responsibilities:

Month End Closing & Reporting
  • Manage HK Recruitment month end closing processes, including Contracting Gross Profit review
  • Deliver reliable monthly reports and provide insightful commentary on financial results
  • Respond to stakeholder’s enquires/requests in a timing manner, provide value-added analysis
  • Drive efficiency and ensure quality of financials and management reports
  • Identify risks and opportunities on balance sheet and ensure that risks are being resolved in a timely manner
Compliance
  • Support deliverables for HK audit and production of audit accounts
  • Work closely with tax team and external advisor to ensure that tax computation/lodgments are done in timely manner
  • Support improvement and implementation of internal control/policies
Operation & Accounting
  • Provide guidance to SSC team in relation to accounting operation
  • Proactively engage with Treasury, Tax, BI and other corporate functions on finance operation and reporting related matters
  • Collaborate with Commercial team and Business Support team to ensure correct revenue recognition
  • Actively participate in process enhancement and system implementation projects
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Annual Budget
  • Collaborate with HPP commercial team and APAC regional finance team to deliver annual PnL budget in time

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.
Experience & Qualification
  • CA or CPA qualification is preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced commercial environment or complex MNC
  • Experience with TM1 and Pronto is a plus but not essential
  • Experience in supporting external AuditExperience in month end closing
  • Experience in compiling budgets
  • Business Level of Proficiency in English both for writing/reading and speaking/listening
