Summary

Our Singapore office is looking for a client-facing Senior Accountant to join our forensic accounting team. This role will include an additional focus on Business Development to support the enhancement of our client network.

Our business provides forensic accounting services to clients. We are a small, dynamic team and you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting cases across multiple industries. Although the nature and purpose of our work vary from case-to-case, you will typically assist with the analysis of financial and operating data provided by clients, or obtained through research, in order to form an opinion on the historic or likely future performance of a business. As the team is small, this creates the opportunity to present to clients at an early stage. Together with the Business Development Director, this role will support maintaining client relationships, clients engagement and collaborate with teams in different countries.

The successful candidate will already have a globally-recognised accounting qualification, which will be supported with job-specific training and mentoring by experienced accounting professionals. You may have the opportunity to pursue secondary qualifications in specialist areas such as fraud investigation or business valuation and the role is best suited to individuals with long-term career aspirations.

Since our clients are often based outside Singapore, business travel will be required, sometimes at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse high level data input and invoice
• Perform intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
• Perform certain field review related tasks without direct super
• Develop preliminary assignment program
• Analyze and reconcile claim to final calculation
• Prepare preliminary draft of report narrative and schedules
• Represent firm at local industry functions, preferably with a Manager, Senior Manager or Partner of the firm
• Attends other marketing events and functions with clients even when the event is outside of the normal business day
• Support in driving growth within the Asia Pacific markets by managing a pipeline of business opportunities together with the Business Development Director
• Support to maintain positive relationships with MDD in country teams
• Maintain comprehensive records of pipeline activities and client interactions in CRM system
• Any other work deemed necessary

Key Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years of accounting experience in an analytical role
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Word and Excel are essential
• Strong numeracy, communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Experience working in a client facing accounting role
• Must have experience in and be comfortable in developing client relationships quickly with minimal support – this may involve presenting to clients and regular client entertaining
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
