Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership: Prepare and analyze comprehensive monthly financial statements for Singapore and Asia subsidiaries, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Reporting: Deliver detailed management reporting and cost analysis including price reviews for Singapore operations to support strategic decision-making.
- System Management: Lead the SAP General Ledger system operations, ensuring accurate data management and system optimization for efficient financial processes.
- Inter-Company Coordination: Handle inter-company related debit and credit notes issuance and process periodic entries into SAP system for accurate subsidiary consolidation.
- Tax Compliance: Manage comprehensive tax review and filing processes while ensuring all Head Office reporting requirements are met accurately and timely.
- GST Administration: Review GST filings, consolidate group GST submissions, and perform detailed reconciliation of GST for revenue recognition and compliance.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate effectively with shared services team to ensure seamless financial operations across multiple locations.
- Audit Support: Prepare and support annual financial audits including detailed schedule preparation and tax return computation verification for external auditors.
- Business Insights: Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Regional Engagement: Travel within Asia quarterly to support subsidiary operations and ensure consistent financial practices across the region.
Requirements
- Educational Background: Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification to provide strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in manufacturing or related industries.
- Technical Know-how: Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, standards, and best practices for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams across different locations.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex tasks while collaborating effectively within team environments.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, well-organized, and proven ability to meet tight reporting deadlines consistently.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel within Asia quarterly to support regional operations and maintain consistent financial standards.
- System Proficiency: Experience with SAP systems preferred for effective management of General Ledger operations and financial data.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing industry financial requirements and cost accounting principles would be advantageous.
- Multi-Subsidiary Experience: Experience managing financial operations across multiple subsidiaries and jurisdictions preferred for regional coordination.
Other Information
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 5.15pm
