SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (Contract Role)

Our client is an US healthcare company with a broadly diversified business across consumer, pharmaceutical and medical device segments. They have an annual turnover of US$70 billion, with more than 125,000 employees across 60 countries with a heritage of more than 130 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, you will be involved doing the following:

  • Statutory reporting and US Tax reporting for Legal Entity
  • General accounting and account reconciliation
  • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance (SOX)
  • Preparation of Statutory Financial Statement and disclosure notes for Singapore Legal Entities which involve consolidating financial schedule of 11 internal business units.
  • Preparation and consolidation of US LE GAAP Tax reporting for Legal Entities
  • Preparation of schedule for statutory audit and US tax reporting for a business unit of over 10 overseas locations.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities including review of accounting entries and activities serviced by outsourced BPO and account reconciliation
  • Adherence to company's worldwide accounting policies, applicable GAAPS and compliance with SOX. Responsible to update SOX documentation, SOPS.
  • Partner and work closely with auditors, business unit finance, global finance services, business support COE, tax COE to ensure all reporting requirements are fulfilled accurately and timely.
  • Drive process improvement and aim for standardization across business sectors (Medical, Pharmaceutical and Consumer)
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree holder with at least 4 years of experience in US GAAP reporting and month end closing activities.
  • Knowledge on SAP is must
  • Good Excel Skills
  • Works well within the team
