Job summary

A global logistics company in Singapore seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage financial reporting and intercompany reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in accounting with strong knowledge of general accounting practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fluency in both English and Chinese are essential for engaging with clients and stakeholders. This role involves ensuring timely month-end closing and aiding in financial analyses and audits.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of accounting-related work experience in a sizable company, preferably in the assets industry.
  • Background in general accounting and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with Singapore tax handling practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all entities reporting and consolidation reports.
  • Perform month-end intercompany account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end closing and reporting duties.
  • Manage general ledger accounting and correct account discrepancies.
  • Involve in complex accounting matters like GAAP adjustments.
  • Prepare and oversee financial review packages and meet reporting requirements.
  • Participate in annual audits, preparing schedules and accounting policies.
  • Conduct FP&A on companies' financial performances and budgeting.
  • Assist regional finance in managing transfer pricing risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare all entities reporting and consolidation report.
  • Perform month‑end intercompany account analysis and reconciliations to ensure all intercompany accounts are properly reconciled on a monthly‑basis (including multi‑company accounts).
  • Manage to ensure timely completion of month‑end closing & Reporting duties.
  • Prepare all companies’ general ledger accounting and correcting account discrepancies.
  • Direct involvement in complex accounting matters (GAAP adjustment, Hedge accounting, disposals etc.)
  • Prepare/oversee monthly and quarterly financial review packages and maintaining all statutory reporting requirements and deadline.
  • Participate in annual audit by the internal/external auditors including preparation of supporting schedules and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
  • FP&A on all companies’ financial performance, budgetary and forecast preparation.
  • Assisting regional finance to manage TP risks, rejecting transactions that fail to comply with TP requirements and/or high risk areas.
  • Other duties and ad‑hoc projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor Degree or above;
  • 5 years Accounting related work experience in sizable company with preferred experience in the assets industry.
Special Knowledge
  • Background of general accounting/financial reporting experience
  • Familiar with Singapore tax handling practice, including CIT/TP
  • Strong knowledge of local Accounting Operations & Practice
Skills
  • Has extensive experience in general accounting and reporting
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Initiative and ability to work independently;
  • Able to accomplish task effectively and has a sharp eye for details; &Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English in order to engage international clients.
