Job summary

A staffing agency in Singapore is seeking an accounting support professional to assist the Finance Manager. The role requires managing full accounts, preparing GST submissions, and handling financial statement preparations. Candidates must have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields and 2–3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. This position is located in Tuas South, Singapore, with provided company transport.

Job description

Location: Tuas South, Singapore (Company transport provided from Woodlands & Tuas Crescent)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Manager/Accountant in managing the full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Inventories, and Journal Entries.
  • Prepare quarterly GST submissions and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and tax computation schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE) and perform periodic asset counts.
  • Oversee inventory listings, coordinate and conduct inventory counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Track and follow up on customer collections; update monthly Accounts Receivable Aging Reports.
  • Maintain and update schedules for related party and interested person transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Provide support for accounting system implementation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Undertake other ad‑hoc finance and accounting duties assigned by the Financial Controller.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA (or equivalent qualification).
  • 2–3 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Meticulous, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Candidates residing in the West region of Singapore are preferred.
