A leading technology firm in Singapore seeks experienced Semiconductor Engineers to support the design and manufacturing of silicon photonic integrated circuits. This role encompasses the entire semiconductor engineering lifecycle, including IC design, testing, and collaboration with foundries and internal R&D teams. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in EDA tools like IPKISS and Ansys Lumerical. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
We are seeking experienced Semiconductor Engineers to support the design, development, and manufacturing of silicon photonic integrated circuits (PICs) used in high-speed communication systems. This role involves the full semiconductor engineering lifecycle—from IC layout and process definition to device testing and yield optimization—in close collaboration with foundries and internal R&D teams.
Design and develop layouts for photonic and semiconductor ICs using tools such as IPKISS, Ansys Lumerical, or equivalent EDA platforms.
Coordinate semiconductor manufacturing workflows, including tape-out preparation, foundry communication, and production yield monitoring.
Develop and execute electrical, optical, and system-level test programs to validate device performance.
Provide engineering input on semiconductor process technology, including CMOS integration and fabrication optimization.
Collaborate with R&D, systems, and packaging teams to refine device architectures and ensure manufacturability.
Support PDK development and maintain semiconductor/photonics device libraries.
Analyze experimental data and iterate designs to enhance yield and device consistency.
Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of semiconductor and photonic process equipment as required.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Photonics, Semiconductor Physics, or a related engineering/science discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor device design, photonic ICs, or high-speed integrated systems.
Proficiency in EDA tools such as Sentaurus, Silvaco TCAD, or Lumerical for photonic/semiconductor simulations.
Familiarity with CMOS-compatible fabrication processes and IC layout methodologies.
Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
