Job description
Role & Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the global Medical Segment team, the Regional Segment Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the growth strategy for the Medical Polymer portfolio in Southeast Asia.
  • Ensure alignment of our business development approach with key suppliers/principals and drive joint initiatives to build a sustainable and profitable medical polymers business.
  • Develop and manage the segment budget, sales pipeline, and profitability KPIs together with regional management.
  • Provide regular reporting to global and regional stakeholders, including updates on sales performance, project pipeline, customer activities, and market developments.
  • Lead supplier management for the medical polymer portfolio, including product portfolio management, onboarding of new suppliers, and strengthening long‑term partnerships.
  • Drive regional marketing initiatives and project pipeline development in close coordination with the regional sales teams.
  • Support acquisition of new medical customers (brand owners, OEMs/ODMs, molders) in collaboration with the regional sales teams.
  • Identify market trends (medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery, sustainability, regulatory requirements, sterilization technologies), new materials, and technologies relevant to the medical polymer industry.
  • Support customer-side application and product‑related queries, including troubleshooting, qualification processes, and project discussions.
  • Develop and provide product, application, and market information/tools for the regional sales teams.
  • Act as the central contact point for technical and regulatory topics related to medical‑grade polymers, including compliance (ISO 10993, USP Class VI, DMF, etc.) and customer documentation.
  • Represent the company at medical industry trade fairs, conferences, and supplier events in Asia and overseas.
Competency Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in polymers, chemicals, medical devices, or healthcare materials, preferably in a commercial, technical, or business development function.
  • Strong understanding of the medical device value chain, medical manufacturing processes, and regulatory considerations is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in developing new business, managing key stakeholders, and handling technical‑commercial discussions.
  • Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across regions and functions.
  • Ability to travel across ASEAN and occasionally globally for supplier meetings, customer visits, and trade fairs.
