Job summary

SGB in Singapore is seeking a Security Engineer to monitor SIEM/EDR and firewall logs, perform initial analysis, and coordinate containment for incidents. You will document findings and contribute to post-incident reports to improve defensive capabilities.

Stay current on the threat landscape, support security configurations, IAM workflows, and basic scripting to automate routine checks and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in a technical IT security role with a demonstrated focus on security.
• Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation, able to work under pressure during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous monitoring of SIEM, EDR, and firewall logs to identify unauthorised activity.
• Conduct initial analysis and triage of security alerts, coordinating with stakeholders to contain and remediate incidents of low to medium complexity.
• Document incident findings and support post-incident reports to improve detection capabilities.
• Stay current on the cyber threat landscape to proactively identify risks relevant to the industry and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT to implement baseline security configurations and manage IAM workflows; execute basic scripting to automate checks.
