The Security Operation Executive is responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees and the hotel assets during his shifts. He reports to the Assistant Security Manager and assists him in the supervisory and training of the security officers. He will present the Assistant Security Manager (ASM) in his absence.

What will I be doing?

As the Security Operation Executive, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assist in the planning and organizing the Security Officer’s roster and duties.
• Assist in training all employees in safety, security, and fire safety responsibilities.
• In charge of all the SOPs, documentation, and delegating jobs to other officers.
• Assist in specific training to security officers below him.
• Keep Assistant Security Manager fully informed of all security related matters and also notify the Assistant Security Manager in the absence of the Director of Safety & Security.
• Work closely with ASM and Director of Safety & Security as part of the Security Management Team.
• Maintain a chronological log of all incidents, making sure that all documentation are completed by any officers and to follow up.
• Assist in conducting investigation work, hold inquiries and interviews when instructed by Assistant Security Manager. Keep all records and reports concerning security matters and hotel business confidential.
• Brief and de‑brief the Security Officers on the latest instruction.
• Enforce the hotel rules and regulations.
• Relief and cover the duty officers as and when required.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Prepare and conduct roll call parade (briefing).
• Put up the daily security report after compiling all incidents from Security Desk Occurrence Book such as:

• Complaints from guest.
• Untoward incidents involving guest, patron and staff.
• Damage caused to hotel’s property.
• Recovery of valuables.
• Result of VVIP functions.
• Security flaws detected, and remedial or preventive action taken.
• Other cases or information which may be of security interest.
