What You'll Do:
Job Summary
The Security Operations Engineer is responsible for managing andmaintaining the Authority's cybersecurity infrastructure, including endpointprotection, privileged access management, vulnerability assessment systems, andsecurity monitoring tools. This role ensures the security posture of criticalsystems through proactive monitoring, incident response, system maintenance,and implementation of security enhancements across the organisation'stechnology stack.
In addition to core operational responsibilities, the SecurityOperations Engineer is expected to identify and implement opportunities toleverage AI tools and automation to improve operational effectiveness, reducemanual effort, and strengthen security outcomes. This includes automatingrepetitive security workflows, developing scripts and integrations tostreamline privileged access and monitoring operations, and exploringAI-assisted approaches to alert triage, anomaly detection, and audit reporting.The engineer is expected to proactively drive the adoption of such capabilitieswithin the team, sharing knowledge and building reusable solutions that enhancethe team's overall efficiency and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
·Manage and maintain primary security systems including CyberArkPAM, Imperva DAM, Tripwire FIM and Trellix Endpoint DLP solutions.
- Executesecurity infrastructure projects including CIS hardening implementations,system migrations, and platform consolidations.
- Monitorand respond to security vulnerabilities and zero-day threats, implementingappropriate mitigation measures and patches.
- Supportsystem upgrades and migrations across multiple platforms whilst ensuringminimal disruption to business operations
- Collaboratewith cross-functional teams including EDP/USC for endpoint security tooldeployments and updates.
- Maintainsecurity compliance through regular system hardening, configurationmanagement, and policy enforcement.
- Participatein disaster recovery planning and contribute to architectural planning formanaged security tools in cloud environments.
- Providetechnical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledgetransfer to support team operations
- Respondto security incidents and provide after-hours support as required forcritical security systems.
- Identifyand implement opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation tostreamline workflows, improve operational effectiveness.
What are we looking for
Requirements
·Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology,Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and securitytool management.
- Provenexperience with CyberArk PAM, Imperva DAM, Tripwire FIM and Trellix DLP ispreferred.
- Knowledgeof vulnerability management tools and processes (Tenable, Nessus)
- Understandingof enterprise security frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experiencewith system administration on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Familiaritywith security incident response procedures and methodologies.
- Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Abilityto work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellentcommunication skills for stakeholder engagement and technicaldocumentation.
- Demonstratedexperience in Security Operation including the use of AI or automationtools to drive efficiency or improve outcome's.
Preferred Qualifications
·Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related advancedqualification.
- Professionalcertifications such as CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer (CDE), CISSP,or equivalent security certifications.
- Experiencewith automation tools and scripting (Ansible, Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledgeof cloud security platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Familiaritywith SIEM tools and security monitoring platforms.
- Experiencewith Singapore Government security standards and compliance frameworks(IM8, CSA guidelines).
- Understandingof financial sector security requirements and regulations.
- Projectmanagement experience and ability to lead technical initiatives.
- Aproactive mindset towards continuous improvement, with the ability to spotopportunities where AI and automation can add value and the initiative todrive these forward.
What you will be working on
·Security Infrastructure Modernisation: Supporting ongoingplatform migrations, system upgrades, and integration projects to maintaincurrent security technology stack.
- GDCSecurity Tool Setup/Migration: Contributing to the architectural planningand implementation of managed security tools in the Government Data Centreenvironment.
- SupportingSOC on security incidents investigation, analysis and recommendingremediation measures.
- Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to ensure security considerations areintegrated into all aspects of IT operations and projects.
- Manageand optimise CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to enhance security controls.
- UtiliseTenable vulnerability management tools to identify, assess, and mitigatesecurity risks across the organisation.
- Drivenew initiatives to improve operational efficiency through systemintegration, automation and enhancement of SOPs for CyberArk management.
- Supportthe Tripwire upgrade project in collaboration with vendor support teams.
Spearhead the newdatacentre CyberArk setup project, including architecture design andimplementation
