Our client is a leading global financial institution with a strong Global Banking & Markets platform in Singapore. The Operations function plays a critical role in supporting trading activities, ensuring strong controls, timely settlement, and effective risk management across global markets.
We are hiring a Securities Settlements Operations Analyst to support the equities and securities settlement function. The role sits within a fast-paced operations environment and involves close interaction with Trading, Sales, Engineering, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and external counterparties.
This role is suitable for candidates with 1–2 years of experience in securities settlements, trade support, or middle office functions, as well as motivated early-career professionals looking to deepen their exposure to global markets operations.
Monitor daily securities settlement activities, ensuring timely and accurate settlement
Ensure firm inventory is appropriately moved or converted to facilitate settlement
Partner with Trading Desks to secure borrows to prevent or resolve settlement fails
Investigate and resolve settlement issues and discrepancies in cash and securities positions
Liaise with trading desks, clients, and counterparties on failing or exception trades
Perform daily control checks and ensure adherence to operational procedures
Escalate issues promptly with clear and effective communication
Support team members across functions during peak periods
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related discipline
Strong interest in securities markets and operations
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to work under strict deadlines in a dynamic environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Client-service mindset with good stakeholder management
Control-focused and results-driven approach
Flexible and willing to support multiple functions when required
1–2 years of experience in securities settlements, trade support, middle office, or equity operations
Knowledge of equities markets and post-trade processes
Experience dealing with exchanges such as SGX, HKEX, or other regional markets
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
