Job summary

ATOP Academy Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a dedicated English teacher for secondary students. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the MOE syllabus, assess needs, and tailor lesson plans to optimise learning outcomes.

You will develop resources, strengthen reading and writing skills, and maintain strong classroom management. Regular feedback to parents and adherence to ATOP Academy’s standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/ Diploma in Education or English or related field.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with MOE Singapore English syllabus is a plus.

• Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, continuous writing, situational writing, listening, and oral communication skills.
• Strengthen students’ critical reading, argument development, and effective written and spoken communication.
• Mark assignments, monitor student progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for school assessments and national examinations.
• Develop students’ confidence, critical thinking, and ability to express ideas clearly.
• Create a positive, engaging, and disciplined learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ academic progress.
• Develop teaching resources, lesson materials, and classroom activities.

Requirements

• GCE A-Level, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Education, English, or a related field.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Secondary English syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Passion for teaching and supporting secondary school students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.
