Job Summary
As the SEA Compliance Supervisor/Manager, you will oversee and mitigate compliance risks across daily operations, focusing on trade control and anti-corruption compliance. Your role will involve establishing robust processes, fostering regulatory relationships, and promoting a culture of compliance within the Apex Logistics International.
Trade Control Compliance (SEA Control Tower)
- Develop and implement internal trade control policies and procedures aligned with target market regulations, industry standards, and group policies to ensure compliance with domestic and international trade restrictions, embargoes, and sanctions.
- Embed risk controls within systems, provide guidance on processes and tools, and optimize their local application to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct denied party screenings, perform Know Your Customer (KYC) checks for new clients, and identify high-risk scenarios, parties, or goods. Review and resolve red flags in daily operations.
- Analyse and summarize trade regulatory requirements, communicating key risks and updates to relevant departments.
- Build and maintain relationships with governmental and regulatory bodies, offering risk mitigation recommendations compliant with domestic and international regulations.
- Deliver trade control training and process guidance to employees, ensuring effective policy implementation and adherence.
Anti-Corruption Compliance Coordination
- Review and approve employee requests per company policies, including gifts, entertainment, partner due diligence, and compliance clauses in third-party agreements. Escalate issues when red flags are identified.
- Collaborate with departments such as Legal, Finance, and HR to ensure seamless implementation of anti-corruption processes.
- Organize and deliver regular compliance training, including new hire orientation, code of conduct, process guidance, and case studies. Maintain accurate training records.
General Compliance Responsibilities
- Provide advisory support to employees on daily compliance matters, fostering open communication to minimize risks and promote the group’s compliance culture through initiatives like newsletters.
- Assess operational risks, provide guidance to relevant departments, and elevate issues as needed. Conduct investigations into compliance breaches, propose risk management solutions, and execute internal inspections and corrective actions.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership to support organizational objectives.
Supply Chain Compliance Monitoring
- Conduct risk assessments of third-party logistics providers, carriers, and vendors to ensure compliance with Apex Logistics International’s standards and global regulations.
- Implement and monitor compliance programs to safeguard the integrity of the supply chain, including audits of partner compliance with anti-corruption and trade control policies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, International Trade, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of compliance experience in large or mid-sized enterprises, with expertise in U.S. trade regulations (e.g., OFAC, EAR), global logistics risk management, and anti-corruption laws (e.g., FCPA).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk screening and review processes or systems is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with automation tools is a plus; Others language skills are preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting reports, policies, and documentation with clarity and precision.
