Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Operating Theatre Nurse to assist surgeons during operations, prepare the theatre, instruments and sterile supplies, and uphold strict aseptic technique. You will scrub, gown and glove, handle instruments, perform counts, monitor sterility, and collaborate with anaesthetists and other health professionals to ensure safe surgical operations.

SNB registration and BCLS are required; shift work, on-call duties, weekends or public holidays

Qualifications

• SNB registration and BCLS required.
• Operating theatre experience preferred.
• Perioperative nursing exposure advantageous.
• Ability to work shifts, on-call, weekends or public holidays.
• Strong aseptic technique and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures with scrub and circulating nursing support.
• Prepare the operating theatre, instruments, equipment and sterile supplies before procedures.
• Perform surgical scrubbing, gowning and gloving while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Handle and pass surgical instruments, sutures and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Conduct surgical counts of instruments, needles, swabs and other items before, during and after surgery.
• Monitor and maintain sterility, cleanliness and safety of the theatre environment.
• Ensure proper handling, documentation and replenishment of instruments and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and safe surgical operations.

Job Requirements

• Valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration and BCLS.

• Able to work shifts, on-call duties, weekends or public holidays, if required.
