Job summary

A machinery maintenance company in Singapore is looking for a skilled Scissor Lift Technician. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aerial work platforms. Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scissor Lift Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on scissor lifts and other types of aerial work platforms (AWPs). You will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, service, and repairs on scissor lifts (hydraulic, electric).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections and functional tests to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
  • Identify and report equipment defects and safety issues.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment when needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
Qualifications:
  • N Level and above
  • Minimum of [1–3] years of experience servicing and repairing aerial lift equipment or similar machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy parts and tools (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred:
  • Experience with other types of aerial platforms such as boom lifts, forklifts, or telehandlers.
  • Training is available as well if no experience.
