Job summary

A leading research institution in Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join their Biotherapeutics Development group. The successful candidate will contribute to developing biotherapeutics aimed at clinical applications. Responsibilities include characterising monoclonal antibodies, conducting in vivo studies, and mentoring. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Biomedical Science or related fields and practical experience in molecular biology techniques. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with industry partners and advance innovative research.

Qualifications

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our Biotherapeutics Development group. The successful candidate will contribute to research activities developing biotherapeutics with a goal towards clinical applications and commercialisation.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Characterise and evaluate monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), its antigen target and mechanism of action needed for a pre-clinical dossier
  • Contribute to therapeutics development pipeline through hit and lead identification
  • Conduct in vivo studies, such as immunisations and tumour xenograft models
  • Work in project teams with internal and external collaborators
  • Contribute to mentorship of students and interns
  • Prepare presentation slides, reports, technology disclosures, grant proposals
  • Maintain accurate and timely experimental records
  • Support routine lab operations, including procurement, equipment maintenance, lab safety compliance, and general housekeeping
Job Requirement:
  • A PhD degree in Biomedical Science, Cancer Science, Immunology, or relevant disciplines
  • Familiar with the requirements needed for selection of potential lead and hit candidates
  • A strong interest in the translational and applied aspects of research, including collaborations with industry partners.
  • Practical experience in cellular and molecular biology (such as cell culture, flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA, immunoprecipitation, mammalian cell transfection, immunohistochemistry, bioassays, and data analysis) and in vivo studies
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
