Job description
Scientist (NGS/Molecular Assay)

Manage projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timelines and goals are met. Lead project planning, proposal preparation, and reporting of progress and outcomes. Oversee data curation and analysis for clinical applications. Guide and mentor junior scientists in experimental work. Develop, qualify, and validate molecular diagnostic methods in line with regulatory and quality standards. Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure SOP compliance.

Requirements
  • Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genomics, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in molecular assay development, preferably within industrial, diagnostic, or clinical lab settings.
  • Proficient in molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation.
  • Experienced with NGS platforms (e.g. Illumina, Oxford Nanopore, PacBio) and related data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and pipelines for data interpretation (variant calling, RNA sequencing).
