Job description

Invictus International School is seeking a Science Teacher (Primary to Lower Secondary) who is responsible to carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the school’s Principal. The school envisioned to be the leading educational institution where each and every learner is developed holistically and given opportunities to flourish successfully. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for scientific inquiry through hands‑on learning and creative teaching strategies.

Location: Bukit Timah

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum standards.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Integrate experiments, demonstrations, and project‑based learning to enhance scientific understanding.
  • Teach foundational science concepts across biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science suitable for age levels taught.
  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the school’s Principal.
  • Conduct assessment, recording and reporting on the work of students and attend Parents’ Meetings to discuss the progress of individual students.
  • Set appropriate individual student targets in line with the school and departmental targets/policy.
  • Undertake appropriate training including INSET days at the start of each term.
  • Promote and participate in continuous professional development.
  • Be involved in co‑ or extra‑curricular activities and school event days.
  • Undertake any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent, recognized by the CPE/MOE in Singapore, and a related degree in Science.
  • Higher degree or recognized professional qualification (preferred). Evidence of continued relevant professional development.
  • PGDE and/or PGCE is preferable. Preferably a Teacher’s Licence (NIE certification).
  • More than 5 years of teaching experience in a similar or related environment.
  • Demonstrate an acute and deep understanding of a primary/secondary school curriculum.
  • Teaching or pedagogical skills.
  • Passion for developing young learners.
