Job summary

Asian College Of Teachers in Singapore is seeking a diligent ESL Teacher to design and deliver quality lessons on Singapore's East Coast Road. You will develop curricula, set up demonstrations, and monitor student progress to align with national guidelines.

You will provide feedback to students, parents, and fellow teachers, manage classroom expectations, and support students with targeted interventions to ensure continued learning progress.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to national and school guidelines.
• Drawing up suitable assessments and delivering helpful feedback to students, parents, and other teachers.
• Establishing classroom, lab, and field trip rules and regulations and ensuring that all students understand what is expected of them.
• Setting up demonstrations and assisting and supervising students while they conduct experiments.
• Providing extra resources, support, and interventions for students who are struggling.
• Ensuring all permission slips are signed promptly and acting as a field trip chaperone when required.
• Grading papers, updating records, and handling various administrative tasks.
• Creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and voicing concerns.
• Mark work, give appropriate feedback, and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
• Prepare pupils for external examinations and competitions
• Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour
• Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and organisational training events
• Participate in other school activities and regularly communicate with parents.
