Job summary
A prominent educational organization in Singapore is seeking a Science Laboratory Technician. The role involves maintaining lab cleanliness, preparing teaching resources, and managing inventory. Qualifications
- At least 2 years of working experience as a Science Laboratory Technician in a primary school setting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of science laboratories.
- Prepare teaching resources in collaboration with teachers.
- Manage inventory and procure new equipment/materials.
- Demonstrate competence in equipment usage and troubleshooting.
- Conduct specific experiments per HOD's instructions.
- Perform termly stock take for scientific equipment.
- Track faulty equipment for replacement.
- Maintain records of loaned equipment/materials.
- Update database of science resources.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Working Hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 30 min lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30 min lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Work Experience
- Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Science Laboratory Technician in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general cleanliness and upkeep of the science laboratories.
- Prepare teaching resources (including tools/equipment/materials/apparatus and any learning or training kits) in collaboration with teachers.
- Manage inventory to maintain sufficient stock and procure of new equipment/materials/components when necessary while tracking the budget and resources utilisation in the Science Laboratories
- Demonstrate competence in use of equipment/machines as well as simple troubleshooting.
- Conduct specific experiments as per HOD’s instructions.
- Conduct termly store stock take for scientific equipment/material/apparatus.
- Track faulty equipment/materials that need to be replaced.
- Maintain a record of the loaning out of equipment/materials/apparatus to teachers.
- Update database of science resources which include diagrams and pictures.
- Any other duties assigned by HOD and school leaders.
