Job summary
A leading educational service provider in Singapore seeks a Science Laboratory Technician to prepare chemicals and assist teachers in laboratory lessons. The successful candidate will have at least an 'O' level certification and a year of experience in a primary school setting. Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills are essential. This role will involve maintaining laboratory cleanliness and supporting curriculum-related events.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of working experience as a Science Laboratory Technician in a local primary school.
- Ability to handle primary school pupils adequately.
- Ability to handle primary school pupils adequately.
Responsibilities
- Prepare chemicals, specimens and apparatus for laboratory lessons.
- Assist the Science teachers during laboratory lessons.
- Maintain the SOPs and cleanliness of the Science laboratories.
- Ensure that the equipment and apparatus are well-maintained.
- Perform inventory checks on resources and maintain stock levels.
- Assist in organising Science events/field trips for pupils.
- Perform other duties assigned by the school.

Working Hours
- Mon – Thursday from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break. Friday 7.30 am to 4 pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
- During school holidays, Personnel is to report to the school 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break.
- Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazette public holidays. If staff is required to work on Saturdays, he/she can claim time off.
Requirement

- Show initiative, meticulous attention to details and able to handle primary school pupils adequately.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare chemicals, specimens and apparatus for laboratory lessons while ensuring that MOE safety guidelines and standards are adhered to.
- Assist the Science teachers during laboratory lessons such as distributing chemicals, specimens and apparatus.
- Maintain the SOPs and cleanliness of the Science laboratories.
- Ensure that the equipment and apparatus are in good working condition and well-maintained.
- Perform inventory checks on resources and maintain adequate level of stock in the laboratories.
- Assist in the organising of Science events/field trips for pupils.
- Perform any other duties and tasks assigned by the school to support the Science curriculum.
