Job summary

National University of Singapore's College of Humanities and Sciences invites applications for a Full-Time Teaching Assistant (FTTA) for the undergraduate module HSI1000 How Science Works. The FTTA will support a team of professors and other FTTAs, assist with module communications, admin, and data management, and help deliver workshops, labs, and field trips.

Successful candidates should hold a Bachelor (Honours) in Science or related field, be digitally competent, and demonstrate strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor (Honours) in Science or related field.
• Lab-based practicals or field work experience desirable; science education/communication experience preferred.
• Understanding of CHS curriculum and goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills; student-focused service orientation.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with deadlines.
• Clear and engaging information delivery; team collaboration.
• Familiarity with administrative processes and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Manage communications and administrative needs for modules (shared emails, quiz-setting, risk assessment, Canvas).</li>
• Participate in pedagogic training and scheduling of workshops, labs, and field trips.
• Oversee and assist with continual assessments (CAs) marking.
• Suggest improvements to module management and pedagogy with coordinators' support.
• Conduct workshops, lab sessions, and facilitate field trips.
