Job summary

A recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for a Receptionist/Customer Service professional to be the first point of contact for the school community. Responsibilities include managing calls and visitors, handling deliveries, supporting student care, and maintaining administrative records. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and some First Aid knowledge. Preferable to live in proximity to Serangoon.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting preferred.
  • Candidates living nearby are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for phone calls and visitors.
  • Manage incoming deliveries and distribute items accurately.
  • Attend to unwell or injured pupils and coordinate parent pickups.
  • Maintain and update administrative records according to school policies.
  • Coordinate with security personnel on visitor registration.

  • Working Hours: 8am - 2pm / 8.45am - 5.30pm, inclusive of lunch break

Job Description
  • Reception and Customer Service
    • Serve as the first point of contact for phone calls, walk-in visitors, and general enquiries from the school community (pupils, teachers, staff) and external parties (parents, vendors, members of the public).
    • Provide clear and courteous assistance, and facilitate communication between parents and teachers.
  • Goods and Delivery Management
    • Receive, record, and manage incoming deliveries, collections, and documents.
    • Ensure accurate and timely packing and distribution of items to the relevant departments or individuals.
  • Student Care and Support
    • Attend to unwell or injured pupils at the sick bay and assist in arranging parent pickup when necessary.
    • Coordinate early dismissal requests and manage lost-and-found items.
  • Administrative and Record Management
    • Maintain and update administrative records, databases, and documents in accordance with school policies and data protection guidelines.
  • Security and Access Management
    • Coordinate with security personnel on visitor arrivals and ensure proper visitor registration procedures.
    • Manage vendor access and assist with monitoring visitor movements within the premises.
Job Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Preferably 3 years of experience in receptionist/customer service
  • Preferably 1 year of experience working in a primary school setting
  • Have basic First Aid knowledge
  • Preferably candidates who stay around the area
