Job summary

Republic Polytechnic's School of Engineering seeks a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Technology & Manufacturing to deliver and develop courses across electronics, microelectronics and semiconductor topics. You will teach circuit analysis, IC fundamentals, instrumentation and related areas, while guiding student projects and CET programmes.

You will collaborate with industry and university partners to update curricula, oversee labs, and support outreach and student development

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in electronics and electrical engineering.
• Knowledge or exposure in semiconductor manufacturing and wafer fabrication is desirable.
• Interest or experience with AI for semiconductor applications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and develop lessons in electrical engineering, electronics, microelectronics and semiconductor technology.
• Teach topics such as circuit analysis, analogue and digital electronics, semiconductor devices, IC fundamentals, instrumentation and engineering applications.
• Deliver semiconductor modules covering wafer fabrication, process integration, semiconductor manufacturing, testing, packaging, reliability and yield engineering.
• Develop curriculum, laboratories and projects involving AI-enabled semiconductor manufacturing, smart factories, semiconductor data analytics, intelligent process control, computer vision and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Develop and conduct CET programmes, including Specialist Diploma and Part-time Diploma courses.
• Supervise student projects, internships and applied learning activities.
• Collaborate with industry and university partners on curriculum development, applied projects and industry engagement.
• Support outreach activities, student development and administrative duties.

• Exposure to emerging technologies such as advanced packaging, chiplets, silicon photonics, AI accelerators, high-bandwidth memory (HBM) or SiC/GaN devices will be advantageous.
• Ability to utilise AI tools for engineering, teaching and applied projects.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring and engaging youths.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
