An educational institution in Singapore is looking for a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across its locations. The role involves managing a maintenance team, conducting inspections, scheduling repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Ideal candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in interior fitout works and a relevant degree. Competitive remuneration package offered.
This position is responsible to manage term specific cyclical maintenance in all school locations with emphasis on regular and timely response to service requests that may encompass maintaining equipment in working order, scheduling urgent repairs, qualifying and managing existing and new service suppliers and developing a robust maintenance regime.
As part of this role, you are expected to formulate practical and achievable maintenance policies with a focus on efficient people processes. In achieving these goals, the adoption of technology and software to manage and track repairs, expenses, budgeting and audit becomes mission critical.
As a key department head, you will supervise and lead a growing maintenance team, its processes and operations, overseeing all minor renovations and interior refurbishments. In addition, you will be expected to proactively oversee regular inspections and assign repair schedules to pre-empt facility issues. In the course of meeting department targets you are to ensure your team adheres to all safety policies and procedures whilst complying to established construction standards and government regulations.
Another integral part of this role would involve reporting pertinent statistics and data to management for decision making; facilitating annual budgeting and allocation of capital expenditure for facility upgrades and major building works.
