Job summary

Middleton International School seeks a dedicated School Cook (Driver Floater) to support both Welltable (Tai Seng) and Middleton (Tampines) central kitchen operations. The role covers food preparation, meal service, and delivery duties across campuses.

The candidate should have a valid Class 3 license, strong time management, and good teamwork. Experience in childcare settings is preferred and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence to support meal deliveries across campuses.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good driving record with no traffic violations.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and safe food handling temperatures.
• Ability to work in a team and interact with staff and students.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare dishes to standard.
• Able to do basic calculations and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow recipes with measured ingredients and timing.
• Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh.
• Cook using bake, grill, steam, boil methods for meats, vegetables, fish, poultry.
• Plate and garnish dishes for appealing presentation.
• Occasionally serve food to students and staff.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and proper storage.
• Order stock and assist with budgeting and stock rotation.
• Maintain correct stock levels and expiry labeling.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned before and after use.
• Monitor temperatures in freezers/refrigerators.
• Adhere to Health Promotion Board guidelines during preparation and serving.
• Complete ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.
