Job Title: School Canteen Food Stall Cook (Jap/Korean)

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

1 pax model (CPF applicable):

Full-time (Weekdays, 7am to 4pm): $2500

Part-time (Weekdays, 7am to 3pm): $12 (during 1 month probation) / $15 (after trained & running solo)

  • Staff meals and training provided
  • Option to request temporary stall closure for wellness or personal needs (with notice)
  • Rest if unwell (No MC required unless school demands for it)

Work Schedule - School Closure Days:

  • Home-Based Learning (2 Fri monthly)
  • School Events (e.g. Entire student cohort out for Tertiary Institution Visits etc)
  • School Holidays (June, end Oct, Nov, Dec)

Note:

  • Full-timers will be re-deployed to another store near Springleaf MRT during long school holidays. During short school closure days, focus will be on prep/cleanliness & tidy up/training.
  • Part-timers can be hired (optional) at another store near Springleaf MRT during long school holidays. During short school closure days, they can either take a break or continue working.

Job Scope (1 pax model):

In-store, including but not limited to:

  • Cook rice
  • Oven/Microwave/Steamer/Sous-Vide Frozen Food (e.g. Chicken Katsu/Yakitori/Takoyaki etc)
  • Cut Ready Kimchi into smaller portions
  • Make sushi handrolls (prepare before recess or during off-peak periods)
  • Cook weekly special (e.g. Jap Curry with received prepped ingredients)
  • Service preparation (e.g. take ready-to-eat ingredients out from fridge, refill disposables/sauces, ensuring sufficient cooked food quantity for service etc)
  • Meal Assembly (e.g. Assemble main meal/sides etc)
  • Cashier (Cash/EZ-Link Payments)
  • Washing & Cleaning (Upkeep Kitchen Cleanliness)

Supplier/Central Kitchen ingredient prep support

  • Prepped vegetables (Frozen Cubed Onion/Potato/Carrot)
  • Prepped sides (Sesame Oil Garlic Cucumbers, Mentaiko Mix)
  • Prepped meat (Frozen Sous-vide Cubed Chicken, Chicken Katsu, Yakitori)

Part-Timers Notice:

  • For 1 pax ($15 per hour) store, there will be ingredient prep support with a smaller menu
  • For 2 pax ($12 per hour) store, there will lesser ingredient prep support with a larger menu
  • Management’s discretion to determine stores’ model dependent on data analytics/stores' sales volume/staffs’ capabilities
