Job summary

A national emergency response unit in Singapore is seeking a Fire and Rescue Specialist. Successful candidates will receive extensive training in fire prevention and emergency response. What the Role Is

Be the source of courage and compassion. As a Fire and Rescue Specialist (FRS) with the SCDF, you will be trained to be a motivated leader skilled in fire prevention, fire response, fire investigation, emergency rescue and equipped with Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) skills. Opportunities for further specialisation (e.g. Disaster Assistance Response Team, Hazardous Material Specialist, Marine Specialist) and skills upgrade across a myriad of career pathways will also be available after foundational postings.

As you progress in your career, you can expect to take up higher appointments such as Fire Station Deputy ROTA Commander, Fire & Rescue Instructor, etc. Good performing FRS can also look forward to accelerated advancement opportunities, where they can be directly promoted to the rank of lieutenant and beyond.

Upon joining SCDF, you can look forward to securing stable full‑time employment with an enticing remuneration package. Candidates can stand to earn between $2,940 and $4,370, inclusive of monthly frontline allowances.

What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum educational qualifications: GCE A-Level, Higher NITEC, Diploma from Polytechnic, IB, NUS High School, NAFA, LASALLE, ITE (excluding Culinary Arts)
  • Male applicants must be PES B and above.
  • Minimum pass standard for IPPT (conducted annually)
  • For Pre-enlistees, there will be a 5‑year Minimum Term of Engagement (MTE) bond in lieu of the National Service’s obligation.
Sign On Bonus

As a successful applicant, you will receive a $30,000 sign‑on bonus (subject to eligibility) upon emplacement.
