About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Scaffold Drafter to join our project team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate scaffolding and shoring drawings, supporting project tenders, and ensuring compliance with design and safety standards. You will work closely with project managers and site supervisors to produce clear, buildable drawings for construction, industrial, and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Design

• Prepare clear and accurate scaffold drawings (Ringlock, System, Staircase access, Lift-shaft, Cantilever, Birdcage, Perimeter scaffold, etc.).
• Produce shoring and slab support drawings where required (standard grid layout, bracing, levels).
• Convert site measurements, photos, and sketches into detailed AutoCAD drawings.
• Revise drawings based on PE comments, client feedback, and site updates.

Material Calculation & MTO

• Prepare material take-off (MTO) for scaffolding and shoring projects.
• Perform basic quantity calculation for shoring works (number of standards, ledgers, bracing, jack bases, U-heads).
• Assist in preparing material list estimates for tender pricing and project planning.

Tender & Project Support

• Support the Project Manager during tender preparation, including layout plans, preliminary designs, and material estimates.
• Review tender drawings, identify scaffold/shoring requirements, and highlight technical considerations.
• Communicate with project and site teams to clarify design requirements.

Requirements

1. Diploma / Nitec in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or similar field.
2. Experienced in shoring system design and quantity calculation (required).
3. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D advantage).
4. Ability to interpret structural drawings, slab plans, section drawings, and load references.
5. Knowledge of shoring grid layout, leg loads, and brace spacing.
6. At least 1–2 years experience in scaffold or shoring drafting preferred.
