Job summary

SHANGHAI TUNNEL ENGINEERING CO (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Life Support Technician to monitor and manage environmental conditions in saturation diving habitats. You will prepare breathing gas mixtures, operate gas systems, and ensure safe decompression procedures for diving teams.

The role requires LST certification, offshore medical fitness, and at least 3 years in life support operations, ideally with saturation diving systems. Strong safety focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Life Support Technician certification applicable to saturation diving scope.
• Valid offshore/commercial diving medical fitness certificate required.
• At least 3 years of experience in life support operations, preferably in saturation diving systems or TBM habitats.
• Knowledge of gas analysis, breathing gas management, and hyperbaric life support systems.
• Experience with gas regeneration/scrubbing systems and gas monitoring equipment.
• Familiarity with chamber sanitation procedures and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control environmental conditions in saturation living chambers and TBM habitats.
• Prepare and control breathing gas mixtures (Heliox, Nitrox, O2) and operate gas systems.
• Execute compression/decompression procedures per diving procedures and tables.
• Operate life support control panels, gas manifolds, medical and sanitation locks.
• Maintain accurate logs, monitor gas stocks, and inspect/calibrate gas analysers and hyperbaric equipment.
• Monitor gas cylinder pressure/inventory and coordinate replacements.
• Report abnormalities and safety concerns to the Diving/Hyperbaric Operations Supervisor.
