Job summary

NCS, a leading AI Tech Services company, invites a SAP Project Manager to lead and implement SAP projects in Singapore. You will establish plans, manage scope, budget, and resources, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with standards.

You will coordinate with business users, architects, vendors, and stakeholders; drive risk management, change control, and post-implementation reviews; support pre-sales as needed and help grow service opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of SAP project management experience.
• Minimum 10 years of IT services experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience in Singapore Public Sector SAP projects
• Past experience in full SAP project implementation and SAP application support
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Ability to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Establish project plans, risk management plans, milestones, and deliverables with users and architects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower, and quality on a daily basis.
• Define project scope and manage change control mechanisms.
• Analyse and document requirements across business users and managers.
• Escalate and discuss issues such as overruns, scope creep, and resource requirements with leadership.
• Oversee integration of hardware, software, testing, and data conversion components.
• Monitor critical path activities and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Negotiate change requests with customers based on business needs.

Job Description

The SAP Project Manager is responsible for managing and implementing SAP projects with quality, ensuring defined scope, on-time deliverables, and adherence to processes and standards. The role involves establishing project plans, risk management strategies, milestones, and deliverables in consultation with business users and architects. The Project Manager oversees daily project execution, budget, manpower, and quality while liaising with customers, vendors, and stakeholders. The position also requires team leadership, effective vendor management, and business development support to expand service opportunities.

What will you do:

• Establish project plans, risk management plans, milestones, and deliverables with users and architects
• Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower, and quality on a daily basis
• Define project scope and manage change control mechanisms
• Analyse and document requirements across business users and managers
• Escalate and discuss issues such as overruns, scope creep, and resource requirements with leadership
• Oversee integration of hardware, software, testing, and data conversion components
• Monitor critical path activities and adjust schedules to meet deadlines
• Manage resources including hardware, software, and human resources within budget
• Review project documentation for compliance with standards and customer requirements
• Define project resources, conduct performance reviews, and oversee post-implementation evaluations
• Negotiate with vendors to secure adequate resources across project phases
• Build relationships with users, technical staff, and management to resolve system issues
• Manage contracts and subcontractors effectively
• Negotiate change requests with customers based on business needs
• Communicate project issues and clarifications clearly with customers
• Identify expansion or service improvement opportunities and liaise with Account Managers
• Participate in pre-sale activities when required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum 5 years of SAP project management experience
• Minimum 10 years of IT services experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience in Singapore Public Sector SAP projects
• Past experience in full SAP project implementation and SAP application support
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Ability to travel as required
