About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to provide expert support and deliver innovative SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor between business users and IT teams, ensuring effective system configuration, process optimization, and continuous improvement in financial operations.
You will play a key role in supporting core finance functions, implementing global process enhancements, and driving business efficiency through robust SAP FICO solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional support to end-users and deliver cost-effective SAP FICO and S/4HANA solutions.
- Address queries related to system design, configuration, data integrity, and performance optimization.
- Ensure global finance process changes are identified, assessed, and implemented with well-planned mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to introduce new functionalities, process enhancements, and automation initiatives.
- Perform SAP FICO system configuration for onboarding new entities or managing property divestments, ensuring data readiness (master and transactional).
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and streamline financial processes.
- Partner with cross-functional and IT COE teams to implement and test new or updated processes, conducting SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with business users.
- Maintain and update process documentation, including functional/technical specifications, blueprints, and training materials.
- Act as a liaison between business and IT, interpreting and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Facilitate end-user training and provide guidance to improve user adoption and performance capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, ERP, Accounting, Finance, or Business-IT disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling) modules and related functional support or implementation roles.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, CO, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combined with a solid understanding of financial processes (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across different geographies.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of working in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
- Traits such as enthusiasm, systematic thinking, fast learning, and a proactive troubleshooting approach are highly valued.
