Job summary

A global chemical company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quality Management (QM) Specialist to provide day-to-day operational support and ensure compliance with business processes. Candidates should have 8-9 years of relevant experience in SAP QM, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The role involves troubleshooting, project support, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are required, with Mandarin speaking being an advantage.

Qualifications

• At least 8-9 years of relevant SAP QM experience.
• Professional experience in both SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4 HANA.
• Strong hands-on experience in configuring QM and PP functionalities.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day operation support in area of Quality Management (QM) and its corresponding authorization to ensure smooth daily operation.
• Identify gaps, issues and workaround solutions. Creating functional requirements as an input to application design, assist with build, test, and deploy activities for QM module.
• Work closely with business process owners and local users to ensure compliance to DyStar global business processes.
• Provide support to AMS vendor to ensure their solutions meeting DyStar business processes.
• Troubleshoot ABAP programs and assist business users in decision making.
• Actively involved in QM related projects and meet the projects timeline.
• Setup authorization roles, grant users’ access and ensure proper approval process is followed
• Other adhoc projects and responsibilities assigned by SAP Manager or IT Director.
• Provide support for Production Planning (PP) as secondary module

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information System, Info-communications, Science or its equivalent
• At least 8-9 years of relevant SAP QM, authorization experience in manufacturing environment (Chemical industry preferred) and SAP ECC 6.0 and / or S / 4 HANA.
• SAP PP experience will be an added advantage.
• Have strong integration working experience and knowledge of the key integration points between the other SAP modules.
• Preferable SAP certification in QM module and basic knowledge in SAP report development (ABAP) and form development.
• Must have at least two full life-cycle SAP R / 3 ECC 6.0 and / or SAP S / 4 HANA implementation experience (Project Preparation till Go-Live) or greenfield implementation
• Strong understanding of QM (primary) and PP (secondary) functionalities and able to apply them to business issues and have hands‑on experience in configuring them. Should have good integration experience in SD / MM / PP. Knowledge of integration between IBP, BW and ECC will have advantage
• Ability to analyse problems and provide clear recommendations.
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload with little to no supervision.
• Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate in Mandarin will have advantage
• Must be familiar with process and project documentation.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.
• Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a can‑do attitude – adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness
