Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team of SAP developers across BTP, ABAP, and integration projects, fostering technical excellence and growth.
• Conduct code reviews, design validations, architecture risk assessments, and guide adoption of clean core principles with side‑by‑side BTP extensions.
• Design and build cloud‑native applications using SAPUI5/Fiori, Node.js/Java (CAP), and SAP BTP Cloud Foundry, integrating with on‑premise or cloud S/4HANA systems.
• Implement secure, scalable backend services with CAP or RAP, leveraging BTP services including XSUAA, Destinations, Workflow, Business Rules, Launchpad, and Integration Suite.
• Optimize and develop code using CDS views, AMDPs, OData, BOPF, RAP, and module‑specific HR ABAP, FI, and SD objects.
• Drive modernization of legacy enhancements, Z‑programs, custom reports, interfaces, and workflows, ensuring S/4HANA RISE readiness and compliance.
• Oversee technical delivery planning, sprint coordination, and team upskilling while collaborating with functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Perform custom code analysis and remediation using tools such as ATC, Readiness Check, and CVI.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of SAP development experience, including 3+ years hands‑on with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry).
• Strong ABAP on HANA expertise with deep module knowledge in HR, FI, and SD, and experience in SAPUI5/Fiori, Node.js, Java (CAP), and RAP.
• Proven experience in S/4HANA RISE custom code adaptation, cloud‑native app development, and integration with SAP and third‑party systems.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP BTP services (XSUAA, Destinations, Workflow, Integration Suite), SAP Build tools, Event Mesh, and multi‑tenant architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD), agile methodologies, and secure cloud development.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide cross‑functional teams and influence technical strategy.
• SAP certifications in BTP, ABAP for HANA, or RISE with SAP are highly desirable; knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM and Business Application Studio is a plus.
