SAP ABAP Manager / SAP Technical Consulting Manager

The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a loosely structured organization and be capable of working on several assignments in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Build, grow and manage a high-performance engineering team for the SAP product line
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the team on a day to day basis
• Set up engineering processes in line with NextLabs global engineering development methodologies and ensure that team follow through the processes
• Define, design, and develop products and related components in collaboration with NextLabs product management and global engineering teams
• Deliver best in class architecture, solution, and code
• Coordinate with other technical teams including the NextLabs Singapore, China and US teams to ensure compatibility with other NextLabs components and deliver as an integrated solution
• Steward of software engineering, software architecture, security, testing and API best practices

Position Requirements

• BE / BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Strong software engineering skills (8+ years) with at least 3 years of team management experience
• Must have good experience with SAP security concepts and must have implemented authorization checks in ABAP objects
• Have a good working knowledge of SAP best practices
• Must have excellent expertise in ABAP development with very good understanding of SAP modules such as MM, PP, QM, SD. Or FICO
• Working knowledge in analyzing, creating system specifications, and developing tests and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP S/4HANA, SAP R/3 and associated NetWeaver applications and technologies
• Experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications
• Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) based design & development and ABAP Restful Programming Model is a plus
• Exposure to Data Masking, Data Anonymization techniques is a huge plus
• Good understanding of SAP architecture and technical data flow of SAP business processes is plus
• Should be proficient in performance tuning to deliver optimized solutions
• Knowledge of BW, BW/4HANA and other reporting tools is plusWorking knowledge of object-oriented design, coding, and debugging skills is required
• Strong background in design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development
• Experience interfacing with SQL databases
• Agile development experience with tools such as BitBucket, Jira, Jenkins etc.
• Knowledge of Security concepts such as SSL, TLS, Crypto, Authentication and Windows firewalls is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies and able to coach and guide team in delivering products and solutions
• Strong analytical and systems thinking to handle both the big picture and important technical details
• Experience working with remote teams on collaborating towards a common goal
• Good project management skill is required
