Job summary

A recruiting agency in Singapore seeks an experienced professional for a sales role in the plastic distribution industry. The candidate will focus on generating new business and maintaining customer relationships, requiring strong sales, analytical, and interpersonal skills. A degree and 5-8 years of relevant experience are mandatory. This position necessitates travel to Batam and JB initially, with potential future travel for business expansion.

Salary: up to $6,000 (Depending on experiences)

Job Description
  • Job ratio is 50% for making new business and 50% for maintaining the current business.
  • Marketing and taking action aggressively and spontaneously to create new business.
  • Maintaining current customers to handle daily tasks efficiently.
  • To control the trading material stock inventory.
  • Attend to customer enquiry and provide sales services to customers.
  • Prepare quotation and liaison with customer on pricing matters.
  • Follow up with customer on payment issues.
  • Sourcing for suitable supplier for purchase of trading material.
  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure purchased products meet the customer requirement.
  • Check purchase orders from customer and to supplier for trade terms, payment terms, price and lead time.
  • Follow up with customer on any arising issues including customer complaints.
  • Take proactive actions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Requirement
  • Min 5-8 years of Sales and business development experience in both commodity (PP, PS, PE) and engineering plastics (ABS, SAN, ASA, PC, ABS, POM, PBT, etc.).
  • Have good knowledge of Plastic Distribution business model, good technical knowledge, and connections with business partners in the plastic industry.
  • Degree qualification.
  • Good and aggressive personality with excellent analytical skills, willingness to learn.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Has expertise in a specific field and is able to independently perform tasks that arise within the team while making own decisions.
  • Able to grasp complex problems and make mature decisions.
  • Able to exchange views with other departments.
  • Able to lead field-level teams and demonstrate expertise in multiple areas.
  • Possess a willingness to plan and make suggestions to the team.
  • This position requires traveling to Batam and JB to support existing customers at first, then travel to developing countries due to business expansion in the future.
