Job Description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services for the organization. This role ensures that all procurement activities align with company goals, budgets, and regulatory requirements. The Procurement Manager will develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage the entire procurement process: sourcing, negotiating, contracting, ordering, and delivery.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, and establish strong working relationships.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to reduce risk of stockouts or overstock.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Engineering) to understand purchasing needs.
  • Analyze procurement data and generate reports to track KPIs, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all purchasing activities.
  • Handle contract management, including renewal, amendments, and dispute resolution.
  • Drive sustainability, cost efficiency, and innovation in procurement practices.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles.
  • Proven experience in managing large procurement projects or vendor portfolios.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop procurement teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Preferred
  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPM, CPSM) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Experience working in a multinational or regulated industry (e.g., manufacturing, construction, FMCG, healthcare).
