Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of proven B2B sales & marketing experience within FMCG and Modern Trade.
  • Proficient in using Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions.
  • Experience working in a Japanese company would be a huge plus.

Our Client is a Japanese-listed company and the largest producer of seasonings. The role of a Sales & Marketing Executive/Senior Executive is responsible for the sales and product handling of frozen products and seasoning. You will be reporting to the Sales Manager (HOD) Products: Frozen Products & Seasoning TSupermarket channel, Domestic Sales department

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes and strategies for assigned Modern Trade customers, including local go-to-market plans, sales strategies, and customer strategies, to ensure the achievement of business goals.
  • Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) and conduct regular business reviews with customers.
  • Manage commercial negotiations, including trading terms and conditions, to support successful sales agreements with Modern Trade customers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and prepare reports highlighting achievements, performance gaps, and improvement areas for the Head of Department.
  • Oversee and monitor 5P execution (product availability, pricing, share of shelf, etc.) and ensure timely resolution of issues by the team.
  • Generate deep insights and actionable recommendations through post-evaluation analyses.
  • Manage sales reporting and forecasting, including projected sales and margin forecasts; analyze trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, monitor, and recommend improvement initiatives related to business processes, customer service, and operational techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry contacts to understand consumer needs and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales Admin) to ensure efficient execution of business plans.
  • Drive product penetration and promotional initiatives, including new product launches.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on new product listings and to support below-the-line (BTL) activities.
Requirements & Preferences
  • Diploma/Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business, or similar
  • At least 2 years of proven B2B sales & marketing experience within FMCG and Modern Trade
  • Excellent communication in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking counterparts
  • Good understanding of supplier and customer relationship management, including supply chain, field marketing, and branding.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions for efficient data processing and analysis), Word, and PowerPoint
  • Available on short notice or immediately
  • Strong interest in food, food culture, and food business (especially Japanese food)
  • Experience working in a Japanese company would be a huge plus!
