Job description
Roles & Responsibilities

Reports to: Head of Sales

  • Support the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the Polymer business working closely with the Polymer segment leads and key supplier partners.
  • Drive sustainable growth for the designated polymer portfolio by managing and expanding relationships with key accounts.
  • Lead commercial activities for assigned customers, including planning, visit management, opportunity development, forecasting, and negotiation.
  • Handle and develop the opportunity pipeline ensuring timely follow-up of enquiries, coordination with product managers/ segment managers/suppliers, and support of customer qualification processes.
  • Manage and grow relationships with assigned customer base, providing support on material selection, application discussions, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a structured overview of projects and opportunities, ensuring updates are shared as requested with management and relevant product managers/segment managers.
  • Monitor trends in engineering plastics, molding technologies, and customer application developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide market insights, customer intelligence, and competitive analysis to support strategic decision‑making and supplier alignment.
  • Ensure that sales plans, profitability targets, and annual budgets are achieved in line with business expectations.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, seminars, supplier meetings, and key customer events to support business development and market visibility.
Competency Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales of engineering plastics, or related technical-commercial roles.
  • Strong customer management skills with proven experience in handling key accounts and building long‑term relationships.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage pipelines, drive projects, and deliver sales and profitability growth.
