Our client is seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities for repairs, maintenance, and service jobs in the offshore industry. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the industry, a strong sales background, and a proven track record of successfully expanding service portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and generate new business opportunities within the offshore heavy equipment sector, including but not limited to repairs, maintenance, and service contracts.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by targeting key accounts, prospects, and new market segments.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business avenues to expand service offerings.
- Build strong relationships with existing clients, enhancing customer satisfaction and promoting the companys services.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets for the service division.
- Promote the companys service offerings (including offshore repairs, maintenance, and heavy equipment solutions) to a broad customer base.
- Negotiate service contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to develop tailored service solutions for clients.
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the sector.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all service-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Regularly engage with customers to assess their ongoing needs, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and regulatory changes to better inform sales efforts.
- Provide detailed market intelligence to the management team to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
- Track and report sales performance, including KPIs, pipeline status, and forecasts.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that align with service offerings.
- Assist in pricing strategy development and ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field (preferred).
- Additional certifications in sales or industry-specific programs are a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales or business development role within the offshore or related industries.
- Proven track record in selling repair, maintenance, and service contracts in industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of offshore operations, heavy equipment systems, and related technologies.
