About the job Sales manager (Marine service)

Responsibilities:

  • Visit existing clients and develop new customers in the offshore and marine sectors.
  • Submit weekly visit reports.
  • Sell replacement parts for diesel engines and secure orders to meet sales targets.
  • Monitor orders from placement to final delivery.
  • Prepare bids and quotes for clients.
  • Review cost estimates, tenders, and quotations to ensure accuracy.
  • Plan and ensure bids and inquiries are correctly valued, quoted, and submitted according to the client's specifications.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with orders or contracts.
  • Manage primary sales forecasts.
  • Maintain high-quality customer service and nurture strong relationships with clients.
  • Be responsible for meeting sales targets and maximizing profit margins.
  • Stay up-to-date with product developments, industry news, trends, competitors, and relevant information on existing and new technologies.
  • Lead discussions on the companys technical solutions with customers and the sales team, building client trust.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to develop strong relationships and understand sales strategies, account management, and opportunity handling.
  • Provide regular, accurate reports and account updates.
  • Contribute to the growth of the company by sharing specialized knowledge and offering coaching and training as needed.
  • Organize, oversee, and participate in trade events and exhibitions.
  • Conduct market research and gather feedback from customers on sales and service strategies, follow-up methods, and after-sales service quality.
  • Take responsibility for cross-diversification business reports and monthly business development reports.
  • Assist in the creation of annual operating budgets, business plans, and goals, and help execute them to meet targets.
  • Lead the trading team and assume signing authority in the managers absence.
  • Handle any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
