Job summary

A leading freight and logistics firm in Singapore is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to focus on sea freight. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in sales and business development within the logistics industry, with a proven ability to win new business and propose innovative solutions. This position offers autonomy in running your business and liaising with customers to ensure their needs are met. Competitive base salary of $7,000 - $8,000/month plus incentives.

We are partnering with a renowned European MNC specializing in international freight forwarding and logistics solution. They are reputable for providing reliable and bespoke solutions based on customer’s' needs and demands. Due to expansion in the Singapore office, they are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to focus on sea freight, ideally with knowledge in Oil & Gas / Energy vertical.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Country Head, you will be responsible for developing new customers across key verticals, promoting the company’s air and/or sea freight solutions. You need to be proactive in hunting for new accounts and win new business opportunities, while maintaining solid rapport with existing customers to ensure business continuity. You will also work cross-functionally to prepare quotations and RFQs, offering best solutions to fit customers’ needs. As they are a mid-sized organisation, you will have the autonomy to run your business and to craft your vertical focus.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is someone with minimum 5 years of Sales, Business Development, and/or Account Management experience within the Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry. You will need to be a proven hunter with track record of winning new businesses, while proposing innovative solutions to customers. You will come with strong network in your respective vertical and possess strong adaptability to work within a small commercial team.
