About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and proactive Sales Manager to drive growth in our retail lighting business. You'll convert provided leads into sales, cultivate customer relationships across multiple channels including WhatsApp and Telegram, and deliver exceptional consultative service that anticipates customer needs before they're even asked. Key Responsibilities
- Convert provided leads into successful sales through strategic follow-up across digital and traditional channels
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships via WhatsApp, Telegram, phone, email, and in-person meetings
- Proactively address customer questions and concerns, providing comprehensive information upfront
- Act as a trusted advisor, educating customers on lighting solutions, energy efficiency, and value considerations
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through consultative selling approaches
- Manage full sales cycle from initial inquiry through purchase and post-sale support
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and provide regular sales forecasts
- Stay current with lighting technologies, LED systems, and industry trends
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries across all platforms, including outside regular business hours when needed
Required Qualifications
Communication Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication across multiple platforms
- Proficient in professional communication via WhatsApp, Telegram, and messaging apps
- Ability to explain product features and benefits clearly in everyday language
- Strong active listening to identify both stated and unstated customer needs
- Confident presentation skills for customer consultations
Sales & Technical Abilities & Personal Attributes
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding retail sales targets
- Strong relationship-building and customer service capabilities
- Understanding of residential and commercial lighting applications (or ability to learn quickly)
- Comfortable using smartphones and messaging apps for customer communications
- Ability to manage multiple customer conversations simultaneously while maintaining quality
- Proficiency with CRM systems and digital tools
- Self-motivated with high energy and entrepreneurial drive
- Organized approach to managing multiple customer relationships across various channels
Compensation & Work Schedule
Salary Package
- Base salary: SGD 3,500 - 4,000 per month
- Commission: 5-10% of monthly revenue receipts
- Total expected earnings: SGD 7,000 - 10,000 per month with strong performance
Work Schedule
- 5-day work week (one weekend day required)
- Flexibility required for customer communications outside regular business hours
