We are seeking a highly driven and technically proficient Sales Manager to join our team, focusing on various industrial sectors with complex waste streams, including but not limited to the Pharmaceutical, Microelectronics and Chemical Industries, in Singapore. In this critical role, you will be responsible for spearheading business development, driving revenue, cultivating long-term relationships, and providing technical and commercial solutions for our most complex hazardous waste challenges. The ideal candidate is a strategic hunter with a proven track record of securing new business and a deep understanding of the unique environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements within these sectors. The role also encompasses industrial service project development, making it a comprehensive sales and technical advisory position in the specialised field of hazardous waste management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within various industrial sectors, particularly those with complex waste streams, to drive significant revenue and volume growth.

Customer Relationship Management: Lead the development and maintenance of strong, sustainable relationships with existing and prospective customers through proactive and collaborative communication.

Technical & Commercial Expertise: Act as the primary point of contact for all customer matters, providing expert commercial and technical guidance on hazardous waste solutions.

Internal Coordination: Serve as a vital link between the customer and internal teams, coordinating with technical, logistics, and operations departments to design and deliver tailored solutions for complex waste streams.

Proposal & Quotation Development: Develop comprehensive and persuasive quotations, proposals, and tender submissions that showcase our expertise and competitive advantages in hazardous waste management, while leading contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and close sales agreements.

Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and gather intelligence on key market trends in the Singapore toxic industrial waste landscape.

EHS & Compliance Leadership: Champion our core values of safety and ethics by personally coordinating all on-site activities and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance are upheld at all times. Stay current with environmental regulations, including National Environment Agency (NEA) requirements and Basel Convention standards, to ensure all service offerings remain fully compliant with regulatory requirements.

Data & Record Management: Maintain accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports and pipeline updates for all customers in the Salesforce system to ensure proper data integrity and accessibility.

Safety & Ethics: Uphold Veolia's Always Safe rules and maintain the highest standards of ethics and compliance in all activities, supporting the team's commitment to safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or marketing.

Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of the chemical, oil & gas, or microelectronics industries.

A proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving rapid revenue growth.

Strong value selling, negotiation, and communication skills.

In-depth knowledge of environmental services and/or waste management is a significant advantage.

A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of initiative
